Programme 2016 draft

  • All events listed will be taking place in the Boardroom (C219), College Building, unless stated otherwise.

12pm – 1pm: Talk on the publishing industry by Carrie Plitt, Conville & Walsh Literary Agency

1pm – 2pm: Pat Cadigan [Award-winning science fiction writer] Award-winning science fiction writer Pat Cadigan known for her cyberpunk fiction is the first main speaker of the festival.

2pm -3.30pm: Performance of James Charlton’s ‘Been On The Job Too Long’; directed by Benet Catty.*

*this performance will take place in TV Studio B.

3.30pm – 5pm:  ‘Science fiction and diversity’ –  Panel Discussion with Journalist Kurt Barling in discussion with Pat Cadigan and fantasy author Zen Cho and the director of the Clarke Award Tom Hunter on diversity in science fiction.

5pm – 6.30pm :  ‘Science Fiction in the Theatre’: Panel Discussion with Actress and science fiction theatre producer, Patricia Tallman and Daisy Campbell, Science fiction theatre director and writer.

7pm: Headliner Award-winning science fiction writer Christopher Priest and author of The Prestige will deliver the final talk of the festival.
