Highlights 2014

We are proud to announce that this year’s list of exciting events, innovative panels and great speakers includes David Nicholls – writer of the hit novel ‘One Day’ and screenplay for the film starring Anne Hathaway – who will be here in Hendon to answer your questions about his illustrious career and writings.  One of last year’s successes, the Speed-pitch, is back, to allow guests at the festival to pitch their idea to top Bloomsbury literary agents, LBA.  And, for the first time ever at the NLLF, we are tackling the question of gaming narratives, with a platform featuring Ed Stern.

We will also be welcoming writers ranging from celebrated historian and broadcaster Juliet Gardiner and Faber’s Richard Skinner to multi-million bestseller Lesley Pearse. We are proud to have Orange Prize long-listed Sue Gee speaking this year. We can also reveal that award-winning non-fiction writer Kate Colquhoun will be in attendance.  All will be visiting the Middlesex University campus to share their insights, tips and work.

Last but not least, we are very happy to announce that journalist and broadcaster Professor Yasmin Alibhai-Brown will be discussing her newest book with us.

We’re very much looking forward to welcoming you and all of our speakers to this year’s North London Literary Festival, which will be held on the 2nd and 3rd of April 2014.

Please note, the programme is subject to change.
