Here’s a list of the great stuff that’s happening on the second day, 24th of March….
We have a fiction workshop led by our own Lee Rourke at 10.30 in Room C109, learn about crafting the perfect piece of fiction! Places are limited so please using the booking form at the bottom of the page to book your place.
Then we have Curtis Brown literary agent, Norah Perkins at 12.30 in room HG19.
Next up at 2.30 in room C211 we have 3 Poets, Shanta Acharya, Antony Howell, Fawzi Karim who will be giving a reading of their works.
At 3.30 in room C211 there’s fantastic debate on free speech from Yasmin Alibhai Brown, Christina Patterson, Kurt Barling and Eric Heinze. Listen to them debate the ways free speech has been used and the consequences of this.
At 5.30 in CG77 we have a truly brilliant Speculative Fiction Authors panel featuring Stephanie Saulter and Aliette de Bodard, and chaired by Farah Mendlesohn.
And finally at 7-11pm we have Floetry: an evening of spoken word, poetry, comedy & music in MUSU Forum, Hendon Campus, kindly sponsored by the MU African & Caribbean Society.
The festival is open to students, staff and the public, and is free of charge.
