23rd of March

James Martin Charlton, the playwright, theatre director and filmmaker will be launching the publication of his ‘Collected Plays Volume One’ with a reading of his award-winning production Fat Souls in the Grove Building, Atrium space at Middlesex University. This is the first time the play has been heard in public since its original production. The reading is directed by up-and-coming talent Connor Abbott and features a cast of professional actors.
Beware – Fat Souls features some dislikeable characters saying some ugly things!

Dame Professor Carol Ann Duffy, the Poet Laureate will be giving a reading to open the festival in the College Building’s Lecture Theatre CG76 at Middlesex University. This is going to be a wonderful event so please do come along and listen to her work and help us start the festival on a high!

The festival is open to students, staff and the public, and is free to attend.
