North London Literary Festival 2015

The programme of events for this year’s North London Literary Festival have been finalised. So save the dates!


Sat 21 and Mon 23 March: Oxfam Bookshops in London will host Middlesex University Creative Writing students and graduates doing pop-up readings:

Victoria: Sat 21, 1-3pm: 34 Strutton Ground, Victoria SW1P 2HR (Oxfam Books and Music)

Islington: Sat 21, 4-6pm: 48 Upper Street, Islington N1 0PN (Oxfam Books and Music)

Enfield: Mon 23, 1-3pm: 54 Church Street, Enfield EN2 6AX (Oxfam shop with book department)

Balham: Mon 23, 1-3pm: 166 Balham High Road, Balham SW12 9BW (Oxfam Bookshop)


Monday 23rd March – Opening Night! 

Mon 23 March, 3.00-5.30pm: James Charlton, Acting Head of Media, play reading & book signing, in the Grove Atrium, Hendon Campus, The Burroughs NW4 (Hendon Central Tube)


Mon 23 March, 6.30pm: Dame Professor Carol Ann Duffy, Poet Laureate, poetry reading

& book signing in CG76, Hendon Campus, The Burroughs NW4 (Hendon Central Tube)


Tue 24 March, 7-11pm: Floetry: an evening of spoken word, poetry, comedy & music in MUSU Forum, Hendon Campus, kindly sponsored by the MU African & Caribbean Society.

Media students plan an Open Mic event at the MDX House, the Student Union on Tues 24th March and a fundraiser in February. 
John Wiley has generously offered ebooks vouchers and giveaways for our Twiction, Flash Fiction and Poetry Competition categories. 
John Smith’s has agreed to set up a pop-up bookstall at the festival.


All festival events are free and open to all: students, staff and the public.
